[But I wonder where I am gone]IDX

(Once) in the Ch'ing dynasty, in some place,
a policeman was sending a monk who had commited a serious crime.
On the way to the court,
(he) drank wine and got drunk, not knowing anything.

The monk saw him drunken that way.
(He) stealthily unfastened the iron chains,
and tied them to the neck of the policeman.
(He) also used a razor, to shave all the policeman's hair off.
(Then) in a hurry, (he) ran away.

Next morning, the policeman woke up from the wine.
(He) could not find the monk.
Unawaringly, he felt his own head,
and wondered when he had got a shiny bald head.
(He) also saw the chains tied to his own neck.
Pondering in confusion, he then said:
"Fortunately, the monk is (still) here.
But I wonder where I am gone."
