[The price of a rice cake]IDX

A farmer came into town.
When (he) was passing by the door of a rice cake bakery,
the boss inside said:
"(How about) having a rice cake before you go,
This is the fresh made hot rice cake. All right?"

He then thought:
"This must be inviting me to eat the rice cake (for trial)."

Thinking this way, (he) sat down, and ate three pieces.
When (he) finished eating and started to go out,
the boss charged him the price of the rice cake.
But he had not a penny.
The boss got angry,
picked up a pole and struck him off with six strikes.

The farmer returned home.
Other farmers in the same village, knowing that
he had been to town,
came to ask him:
"In the town, what is the price of the rice and noodle?"

He then replied:
"Regarding the price of the rice and noodle, (I) don't know it.
But (I know that) a piece of rice cake costs two strikes of a pole."
